Workshop Facilitators

Our Workshop Facilitators are extensively trained in our program model.  They are fully equipped to lead participants safely and effectively through the therapeutic and psychoeducational activities that comprise our workshops.  Many of our facilitators also serve as counselors and academic coaches.

Academic Coaches

Over the years, we have learned that while our Program is effective in enabling students to devise their OWN support system, many students need guidance in implementing their system when they enter college.  That's where our Academic Coaches come in.  Coaches help the student record and track progress, assess and identify any problems, and analyze what level of intervention or follow-up might be helpful going forward.  They implement this strategy to ensure that the student isn’t sliding back into old habits that hinder success.

Our Academic Coaches  have extensive training in the Program’s unique language and processes.  They are certified in all aspects of the program.

The unique relationship a coach develops with a graduate of our Program takes on several dynamics from guidance counselor and coach to friend, all the while holding the student responsible and accountable for the goals they set for themselves. Our coach's job is to provide the extra push needed to enable the student to become their own successful, internal ADHD support system, and fully thrive in college and beyond. Meet our academic coaches.

Our Counselors come from diverse backgrounds dedicated to helping students with ADHD be the best they can be, and equip them with the tools for success in school.

Our staff is available to present information about college transition
as well as our Program to groups of all sizes.

College-bound"My student returned from your workshop liberated.  He is able to plan and accomplish as never before."
Matt Willmott, English Department Chair, The New School of Northern Virgina

College-bound"Every time my mom seemed like she was disappointed in me, I used to think "you don't get it, I'm way more disappointed in myself than you will ever be."  I just didn't know what to do to make things work.  Boy, I learned concrete ways to turn the whole situation around.
Julian C. - alumnus from summer workshop
